A green flag with the word ‘Go’ symbolises your departure location. Several other locations can be shown on the TomTom’s display.
A house symbol shows your ‘Home’ location. What do TomTom symbols mean?Ī round red ball is a symbol for one of your saved ‘Favorite’ locations.
The TomTom One XL GPS device can connect to Bluetooth compatible mobile phones, which enables you to make hands-free calls through the GPS device and receive updated information for some of TomTom’s services, such as traffic. Such updates are available for free to TomTom users. Updates to the TomTom software and GPS maps are periodically made available to fix bugs and update road changes.
A new screen will open, login and choose the updates you would like to perform. MyDrive Connect will start automatically. Connect your sat nav to your PC via the USB cable. Make sure MyDrive Connect is installed on your computer. Download them all to the same location and extract, they will all unpack to give you a complete map folder. How do I update my TomTom ONE 3rd Edition for free? The 5 parts of Europe_1GB_West_960_7075 that you refer to are constituent parts of the same archive. If you now want a UK & ROI map, you should download 960.7075 as it's compatible with your navcore and also has meta available. I suspect your mistake on the UK map lay in one of those points. Secondly a map must have a meta code released to make it usable. There's 5 parts to it as far as I can see so i'm assuming that I just unzip these and put them on one by one onto my sat nav? Thanks Before you download any map, you should check that it is compatible with the navcore currently installed on your device by consulting the compatibility chart at the top of this page. So i'm now downloading the UK and Europe maps which you stated. I think I made a mistake because I tried to download just a UK map and followed the other steps but it said on the sat nav that the map could not be used.
